PeaceGeeks aims to accomplish two primary objectives:

• Strengthening the capacities of civil society organizations on the ground so they can better do their work
• Educating volunteers about critical issues and how communities are working to affect change

In addition, PeaceGeeks three secondary objectives:

• Creating public awareness of peacebuilding and peacebuilders through art, such as spoken word, music, painting, photography
• Ensuring organizations and volunteers have a quality and mutually beneficial experience
• Recognizing outstanding volunteers and model organizations
