Pilot Project #1

We are currently working on a number of projects to provide support to an organizations in Egypt called HarassMap. HarassMap focuses on raising awareness on sexual harassment and violence against women, and raising the voices of women to speak out about these crimes. It is run by a group of volunteers from a variety of professional backgrounds. We aim to provide support to HarassMap in a number of ways:

- Leadership development & team building support
- Organizational strategy
- Social media & communications strategy
- Web site design & integration
- Business process support & technology solutions

Pilot Project #2

PeaceGeeks aims to help organizations seeking to develop open source technology platforms with additional tools to improve integration and communications management. One of the first projects we are looking at is developing a way to design a WordPress theme to help organizations implementing Ushahidi, a crowd-sourcing mapping tool that helps with crisis mapping, emergency response, data collection for policy advocacy and in other ways.

We aim to help develop a content management tool using a WordPress oran other content management tool that will help organizations who are implementing Ushahidi to develop a more integrated web site.
